The MT9 is an industry-first microtrencher attachment designed specifically for the Ditch Witch mini skid steers—an ideal, cost-effective solution for smaller installation jobs that don’t require a larger microtrench system.

Designed specifically for fast fiber installation, the MT9 helps contractors reduce cost-per-foot beyond traditional installation methods.

The patent-pending design allows the microtrencher attachment to be pushed or pulled without removing the saw from the ground utilizing a dual attachment plate, eliminating the need to realign in the middle of a cut.

The compact unit is designed to improve maneuverability on confined, tight jobsites.

Designed for use with a HX75 vacuum excavator for effective spoils removal, resulting in a clean trench in one pass.

Equipped with a patent-pending blade plunge, the MT9 provides infinite variable depth control up to 9 in (228.6 mm).

The unit can be equipped with a variety of unique saw blades, each designed to cut precise, clean, narrow trenches in one quick, efficient pass.

Ditch Witch offers a complete line up of microtrenching blades ranging from our patented carbide-tipped blades to the Ditch Witch-exclusive, patent-pending PDC Fiberblade with diamond embedded carbide.

The durable, maintenance-free design is proven to last up to 20 times longer than standard blades, in certain jobsite conditions, enhancing performance and improving ROI.

The MT9 creates the ideal trench for small fiber-optic cable installation, with a vertical plunge up to 9 in (228.6 mm) deep, and 0.375 to 1.5 in (9.5 to 38.1 mm) wide.

The narrow, small trench enables contractors to install fiber shallower than other utilities with minimal disruption of surrounding infrastructure, saving time and money and improving safety.

With an integrated “push or pull” design for street crossings, the attachment eliminates the need to remove the saw from the ground for more efficient, quick cuts, and minimizes ground disturbance for a better-looking finish.

The attachment is equipped with variable depth control that is adjustable on the fly, providing greater versatility and more efficient depth control.
